Workshop: Hand-building Ceramics 1/20 & 1/27, 5pm: Hand-building Mugs

Spend two creative days designing and building your own ceramic mugs. Learn hand-building basics—slabs, coils, shaping cylinders with clean seams and well-balanced handles—along with texture tools, carving, stamps, and other surface treatments to add personality to each mug. Make everyday coffee mugs, tea cups, or a cozy cocoa mug with your own style, all at your own pace.

The second day focuses on finishing techniques: glazing, surface design, underglaze painting, and color choices that pair beautifully with your forms. Explore how different finishes interact with texture and shape so every mug feels intentional and distinctly yours.

Ideal for total beginners and returning makers. All materials and firing included—just show up, get your hands in the clay, and enjoy the process. Leave with finished mugs you’ll be proud to use or gift, and new skills to keep your clay journey going.
